traditionally, henna has been used by a variety of cultures around the world for special events such as weddings, baby showers and religious holidays. today, henna is used for fun by all cultures! mehendi is the use of henna to create temporary artistic designs onto your body. this fun, quick & inexpensive "tattoo" like experience can provide the perfect accent for any occasion. we use all natural henna and have a variety of simple or very intricate designs to chose from. or, feel free to bring in your own design for our artist to follow.

the henna paste is a mixture of henna, which is a natural herb plant , ground into a powder and then mixed with water and a few trade secret essential oils to produce a deep red color. it is applied onto the skin to create beautiful artwork on your body using a cone (similar to one used to decorate cakes) as the applicator.
once the henna pattern is applied, you will need about 30 minutes before it is dry to the touch. we usually advise that you keep the henna on your skin for as long as you can (about a few hours) before allowing it to flake off. once the henna flakes off you will see that it leaves behind an orangish color. this color will deepen within 24 hours by keeping the area warm. henna color develops darkest on warmer parts of the body, like palms of hands and feet.

the benefits of using henna is that you can express yourself with creative designs on your body and have the comfort of knowing that they will disappear within 1-2 weeks. we now offer glitter tattoos! the glitter is applied with an adhesive glue safe for skin. we have a variety of beautiful vibrant colors to choose from. these tattoos will last an average of 3-7 days with special care.

we also book private events! our experienced and friendly artists will come to your event and provide a fun and unique experience for all of your guests! some examples of such events have been: birthday parties (both adult and kids), weddings, bridal henna, corporate events, fairs and cultural celebrations, girlfriend pampering parties and bollywood themed parties!

pricing depends on size and detailing of the art but an average pricing example would be:

x-small $10 - large $40, for larger patterns with less details.

glitter henna pricing may be more depending on the number of colors used.

larger scope work is $75/hour.

travel events are $75/hour (per artist) with a 2 hour minimum. a travel fee will apply based on event site location.

note: rates are different for start times before 8am and finish times past 10pm.
